“As they are its greatest promises, France must promote nationally and internationally the French young talents of the plastic and visual arts, by supporting their creative expression and thus affirming the strength of its unique multicultural model.

This diversity is a field of intense, complex and interrelated creativity. It opens the dialogue between cultures, explores new narratives and constantly nurtures the emergence of new talents.

Initiating these exchanges and revealing the new art scene is the mission of Reiffers Art Initiatives.”

Paul-Emmanuel Reiffers
Founder Reiffers Art Initiatives

The Foundation’s initiatives

Reiffers Art Initiatives is a foundation supporting young artists and cultural diversity. Its mission is to finance, exhibit and give visibility to the new artistic scene, in France and internationally.

 - Each year, Reiffers Art Initiatives invites a major international figure in contemporary art to become the mentor of an emerging artist. This program is celebrated by an exhibition in October during the FIAC.

 - Reiffers Art Initiatives has another highlight in the spring by presenting a thematic exhibition around a selection of young talents, whose artworks interact with society topics.

 - The Foundation’s ambition is to give a global dimension to the work of its artists, by putting them in dialogue with other cultures. Thus, Reiffers Art Initiatives keeps supporting its talents through the organization of exhibitions in China and the United States.

 - Finally, the artists' works will be accessible to as many people as possible with the digital platform of the Foundation, designed as a "Who's Who" of the young French creation.

An intergenerational Mentoring program

Reiffers Art Initiatives invites a major international figure in contemporary art to become the mentor of a young emerging artist, residing in France or having special ties with our country.

In 2021, for the first edition, the Foundation chose the American acclaimed artist Rashid Johnson as a mentor, whose “post-black” conceptual art is internationally renowned and celebrated from MoMA to the Whitney Museum, or the Venice Biennale.

Soukhos exhibition from Raphaël Barontini at the Studio des Acacias

French artist Raphaël Barontini exhibits his LVMH Métiers d'Art artistic residency work at Studio des Acacias, in partnership with Reiffers Art Initiatives and Mariane Ibrahim Gallery. The exhibition will open from July 7th to 28th of 2021.

Raphaël Barontini is a 36 years old plastic artist graduated from Beaux-Arts de Paris and from Hunter College of Art of New York. His work of « creolization of pictures » has been exhibited by numerous museums and galeries throughout the world, especially through remarkable performances in the USA, in Savannah, Fort Worth, or very recently in Chicago.

In his multifaceted work, the artist constantly questions art-craft relationships, west-east, dreamlike-political. In 2020, he is selected by LVMH Métiers d’Art for an artistic residency at the heart of the Heng Long tannery in Singapour, renowned for its exceptional expertise in tanning and finishing of crocodilian leather.

All the works produced as well as several representative pieces of the artist's work will be presented at Studio des Acacias.

An exhibition space in Paris in a historic place

Located in the heart of Paris, the Studio des Acacias is a unique cultural space that exhibits the creations of artists. With a space offering a surface of more than 6458 sqft on 3 levels, the Studio hosts twice a year the initiatives of the Foundation: in the spring with the thematic exhibition reflecting a plural and committed artistic vision, and in October with the Mentorship program exhibition.
