Every spring, Reiffers Art Initiatives awards a prize to an emerging French artist. Under the aegis of the artistic committee, the purpose of the prize is to highlight and accelerate the recognition of the work of a young talent from the young contemporary scene, whose works invite us to look at the world differently, in its complexity and its diversity.

Pol Taburet
is the laureate of the Reiffers Art Initiatives prize 2022.
From voodoo to Francis Bacon and Francisco de Goya, via video games and Atlanta trap, the many inspirations of Pol Taburet reflect all the syncretism of his plastic practice. At 23, he is already famous for his striking figurative painting which represents beings at the frontier of the human and the spectrum. From these canvases of disturbing appearance emerges a magical aura, conveyed in particular by bursts of light painted with airbrush. Pol Taburet pays homage to his mother as well as to the rites and figures linked to the quimbois, this set of voodoo beliefs and practices born in Guadeloupe, from which he partly originated. A graduate of the École nationale supérieure d'arts de Paris-Cergy, his works are already present in several institutional collections.

THE ALLOWANCE
On the occasion of the collective exhibition at the Studio des Acacias in the spring, the artistic committee rewards a young French artist with an allowance of 10,000 euros, with particular attention to diversity and plural identities.
The members of the Reiffers Art Initiatives artistic committee are invited to vote and reward a young talent from a selection of emerging artists in contemporary art. Announced in early April, the winner of the Prize is awarded an allowance of 10,000 euros to finance their artistic production.

The promotion of his work in a publication around the collective exhibition
Reiffers Art Initiatives is committed to highlighting the artistic work of the winner in a Reiffers Art Initiatives publication to give visibility to young talent and invite as many people as possible to immerse themselves in its universe.
ORDERING AN ARTWORK
The laureate benefits from a commission for a museum work that joins the Reiffers Art Initiatives collection.
The fund has its own collection of works of art, built up over initiatives and exhibitions. The winner of the Reiffers Art Initiatives Prize benefits from a work commission that joins the collection, which in the long term will be a real showcase for the young French contemporary scene.
