Daniel Buren, Mentor Reiffers Art Initiatives 2025

An iconic figure of contemporary art in France and celebrated around the world, Daniel Buren sums up his biography in a single phrase: “lives and works in situ.” For several decades, Buren has created site-specific works, designing each piece in response to a particular place—taking into account its space, architecture, exhibition context, physical framework, and its relationship with the outside world.

For the 2025 edition of the Reiffers Art Initiatives mentorship program, the French artist has chosen to support 28-year-old Canadian artist Miles Greenberg. The result of their collaboration will be presented in an exhibition during Art Basel Paris in October 2025.
